SCOTT JENSEN AILA

The founder behind LUA, Scott has over 12 years of experience in the landscape architecture and urban design world.

Scott is a Registered Landscape Architect with AILA (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects), and since 2012 he has been practicing as an individual in his own consultancy, located in Brisbane, called LUA.

 

Prior to founding LUA, Scott had over a decade of professional experience working in the private sector on a number of residential and large master planned community projects, open space and recreation, special use projects, infrastructure and commercial developments.

 

Scott’s broad range of experience has developed a multi-disciplinary approach to his work in varying aspects of open space including landscape, environmental and urban design in a range of different project roles, including project management, team coordination, design and documentation.

Scott completed his Bachelor of Built Environment at the Queensland University of Technology in 2003 and extended his education within the field to gain a graduate certificate in Advanced Landscape Techniques in 2006 and a graduate diploma in Landscape Architecture in 2007 at QUT.

 

Scott has also committed time to being a design tutor to second and fourth year students at QUT as well as presenting numerous guest lectures and critiquing student assignments. He holds other interests in martial arts, devoting over a decade of learning Jujitsu to accomplish a black belt, and is now a Sensei at the Brisbane Martial Arts Academy since 2011.
